Mäetaguse Basic School takes part in a pilot project created by Estonian Olympic Committee. The name of the Project is „Sport at school". It is meant for year 1 students and it lasts the whole academic year.
The aim of the project is to
- form children’s sporting habits,
The beginning of the 2021/22 academic school year ceremony takes place on the 1st of September in the Mäetaguse Culture centre at 9 o’clock.
Year 9 graduation ceremony takes place in Mäetaguse community centre (Mäetaguse Rahvamaja) on June 18, 16.00.
Ceremony will be live streamed (link in Stuudium).
June 11 was the last school day for year 1 to year 8 students.

On June 1st years 1,2 3 and 4 enjoyed the beautiful weather and fun activities outside. They revised important information about staying safe, e.g. how to call for help, where is safe to swim and how to make a life-saving device out of a Coca-Cola bottle. Children played nature bingo, various sport games, and at the end of the day there was a nice picnic.

Our students head outside to learn and discover nature and history.
Our traditional school family event in the month of May comes differently this year. On May 14-16 instead of getting together at school, each student and their family is expected to hold their own event at their home or wherever they choose. Students share the photos of their event and every person who is in the photo will get a present.
