Methods workshops for schools in Alutaguse municipality 30. April sekretar
For the very first time ever there were methods workshops for Alutaguse schools and the event took place in Mäetaguse Basic School. In the workshops teachers shared their experiences with colleagues. There were 15 different workshops, participants from 27 different schools and institutions. Altogether 151 people took part in the event.
The day was divided into two sessions. In the first one people could learn how to make soap, how to play the small zither, familiarize themselves with robo-mathematics and wild animals. Teachers from our school introduced an anti-bullying program “Free of Bullying” and encouraged everyone to move in lessons as well as during breaks. In addition to that, our teacher taught how to cater to students with special educational needs and what kind of ICT devices and applications our language teachers use in their English classroom.
In the second session our guests could make dumplings, craft wooden pictures and learn how to draw. What is more, non-formal methods of language teaching were also introduced and another workshop taught how to deal with generation X, Y and Z. Project “Enterprising School” and how to plan an enterprising lesson was also introduced. There was also a chance to familiarize oneself with the history of our neighbouring boroughs Illuka and Iisaku.
It was a busy and educational day with lots of positive vibes.
