Career week 24. November sekretar
November 20.-24. inspiring career week in Mäetaguse basic school took place. The week was intensive and eventful.
On Monday, Gerli Lehtlaan from Viru Prison visited us, who shared knowledge about career opportunities in the prison service. On Tuesday, 7th and 9th grade students entered the world of money, when Reet Kaldur from the Jõhvi Library talked about money, finances and how to handle money. On Wednesday, the 8th and 9th grade students met Captain Merje Meeritsa from Tapa's 1st Infantry Brigade, whose inspiring talk gave the students an idea of the diversity of the military field. On Thursday, 9th grade students took on the role of job shadowing to try out different occupations. Some went under the job of a teacher, others discovered behind the scenes of the municipal government, and still others immersed themselves in the happy atmosphere of the kindergarten.
Career Week filled our school with enthusiasm and joy of discovery, bringing students closer to choosing their future career and helping them make more informed choices.
